“I absolutely adore this book! It is an amazing prequel to “The Witch, Her Dog, and the Fairies.” Once again Millie takes you on a magical adventure on the island of Newfoundland. I cannot recommend this book enough. Full of beautiful pictures, with a story that is sure to awaken the imagination of children and adults alike. This book would be a great addition to any home or classroom. The questions and activity ideas at the end are sure to stir up some great conversations with young readers!”

5 STAR GOODREADS REVIEW

“What a beautiful way to introduce children to a dog’s love! From the stunning matte front cover to the Munschish feel of the text layout, children will reach for this book over and over again! It even feels good to just hold! The included appendix provides lots of ways for parents and educators alike to engage children in critical thinking. Open your imagination and enter the world of Millicent Hartery and Lance Larry her devoted German Shepherd puppy!”

5 STAR GOODREADS REVIEW

“The only way I can think of to describe the impact reading this collection is that it’s like discovering a missed or extra chapter in my favourite book that adds a whole other layer to the story. It was a sobering reminder that no matter how well we know the people in our lives there is so much that we do not see that is waiting to be revealed. My mother the unabomber is a book that shares a lyrical insight into the pain, joy, and questioning that we all experience at some point in our lives.”
